The Parker (Part 2)

After checking in, our stay at the Parker really began at the famous lemonade stand. We needed to adjust to the desert heat, and the lemonade stand is the right place to start! Once refreshed by a few muddled lemonades, it was time to choose between a lounge chair at the adult pool or family pool… we opted for the adult pool (yay no kids!).

Tim and I stayed at the pool until just before sunset, then headed to the pétanque and croquet courts for a few games with friends.  Before we knew it, the sun had set and it was time to indulge in even more food at Norma’s… followed by a nightcap martini by the fire pit!

The next morning, Tim and I ordered some light options from room service menu, one of my favorite things to do whenever we get a chance to get away. I love how warm the mornings are in Palm Springs; we were able to comfortably enjoy our coffee on the patio, and I think it was the first uninterrupted breakfast we have had together in years! Here are more of my favorite photos around the property…

We can’t wait to go back to the Parker; it is the IDEAL desert getaway for anyone looking for some luxurious R&R. Thank you, Le Parker Méridien Palm Springs, for such a wonderful visit!

The Parker (part 1)

Last week, Tim and I had the opportunity to escape to Palm Springs for a little getaway sans kids! We stayed at the beautiful Le Parker Méridien Palm Springs, or more simply known as “The Parker”. The Parker has been host to Hollywood’s elite crowd for over 70 years now, and after experiencing many of the amenities that the hotel offers, I can see why. It’s a place where one can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and experience luxury at its finest. The grounds are extremely private, and the pathways throughout are surrounded by tall hedges which remind me of a scene out of Alice in Wonderland. The hotel was designed by the famed Jonathan Adler, one of my favorite interior designers. He incorporated one-of-a-kind vintage pieces with modern and contemporary furnishings, as well as hints of his signature “Hollywood Regency” style.

Our stay at the Parker couldn’t have been more perfect  (we could have easily extended for another day or two). We enjoyed muddled lemonades poolside, while snacking on delicious bites from the kitchen. We even managed to slip in a few games of pétanque and croquet! I really enjoyed chatting with the staff; they are attentive and very knowledgeable about the property. I love all of the design elements around the Parker, and am particularly enamored with the lobby. I’d like to sit in and enjoy a martini in every chair, chaise, sofa, and stool! Here are a few of my favorite photos around the lobby…
