When Life Hands You Lemons

Make lemonade and then fight over it. The kids have been sick with colds and fevers for the past few days, and we’re all starting to go a little stir crazy. We’ve been watching far too much TV and making a mess of the house everyday. I have been forced to get creative with play time while the kids have been stuck at home, and while this particular recipe is not all that creative, it certainly got them excited. Our lemon tree has been producing a lot of fruit lately, so we decided to make our own lemonade! Nolan has yet to figure out the difference between a lemon and an orange, but I couldn’t grab the camera fast enough to get his sour reaction.

You still have until April 4th to enter the Ria Ray giveaway, valued over $200!

Birkin Bag

I just had to share this with everyone. I’ve always dreamed of one day owning a Birkin bag, and now I will have to convince Adella to be one for Halloween this year. Thanks for sharing Michelle!

Della’s School Style

It’s my fault completely. Adella is already a “fashionista” in the making. She only wants to wear dresses, and has her own unique style. But it makes her so happy… she dances around, fluttering her arms and singing whenever she puts on a new dress. This is not something I have forced upon her, she is simply a girl, and loves watching me get ready everyday. I don’t think there is anything wrong with loving what you wear, if it makes you feel good and confident, then by all means wear it! And when it becomes a question of taste, feel free to contact me at any time! For now, here is a cute little number Adella wore to school the other day…

Crew Cuts Dress, Jacket, and Leggings. Zara Shoes. Target Headband.

Jig

This time of year always brings me back to my days of dancing, and how much I miss the shoes, costumes and music. I hope that one day Adella will love Irish step dancing as much as I do… Tim and I are looking for a reason to HAVE to go to Ireland. World Championships 2020!! So I pulled out my old costume and shoes and danced a little treble reel for the kids. I forgot how exhausting it is… even with my trips to the gym nearly every day.

For a little glimpse into the world of an Irish dancer, check out the trailer below for the documentary “Jig”, which was released last year.

Hope that everyone had a safe and happy St. Patrick’s Day!!

Nordstrom Fun

Our kids are so chic.
Sometimes the mall is the best place to let the kids run around and play. We visit the pet shop, the Disney store, check out the fountains… and try on hats at Nordstrom. Not quite sure if the sales associates appreciated my form of entertainment. But I did purchase a couple of cover-ups for the summer, so hopefully that made up for it.
