It has been unusually cold for this time of year in Southern California, and it’s rather frustrating. I am ready for the summer: days spent at the beach or pool, cover ups, swim suits, etc. The one and only thing I don’t mind about this weather is that I get to pull out my coats, hats & scarves, and wear them for practical reasons. I’m lucky to have many stylish friends, who are always considerate of me when shopping for great finds. A friend scored this particular poncho for herself and picked one up for me at a major discount. I absolutely love wearing it, despite all of the “Little Red Riding Hood” comments that I receive. It’s the perfect weight for the winters here, and a classic that will remain in my closet until Adella figures out how to pick my lock….

I am always on the hunt for new brands that are of interest and relatable, whether it be for home, fashion, or a service of some sort. Shoe Wall Progress

There has been some progress on my shoe and closet organization, Ikea finally got in a shipment of shelves, but I didn’t buy enough. I’d also like to get some sort of ottoman or bench for underneath the shelves, and hopefully finish the room altogether. It’s been pretty empty for the past 2 years, and a place where we end up throwing all of the stuff that we accumulate. But now I wake up every morning to energetic children and my favorite shoes on display…

Mustard Me

While I would love to be able to dress up in a fancy new ensemble everyday, it’s simply not practical for my lifestyle (insert laugh here). “Practical” has never really stopped me from wearing anything in the past, but I’m a mom now. Anyway, for the days that I am not sporting my Lululemon gear, I like to find a nice slinky tee and add some interest with accessories. The cold weather we have been having lately gave me the green light for a mustard tee, but I kept it current with some bright orange lipstick, a staple of mine!
